Proximus schenkt 30 telefooncellen aan culturele of artistieke projecten
De laatste telefooncellen verdwijnen geleidelijk uit het straatbeeld. In België staan er momenteel nog een 300-tal, maar voor het einde van dit jaar zullen ze allemaal verdwenen zijn.
In 2013 werd de wettelijke verplichting om telefooncellen uit te baten opgeheven. Proximus besliste toen om alle overblijvende telefooncellen weg te nemen. De reden hiervoor is eenvoudig. Bijna iedereen heeft een gsm en dus zijn de telefooncellen niet meer nodig. In veel telefooncellen vindt per week amper nog één gesprek plaats.

Wedstrijd
Proximus zal 30 telefooncellen schenken aan personen of instellingen die een telefooncel willen gebruiken voor een cultureel of artistiek project. Liefhebbers kunnen zich tot 31 maart 2015 kandidaat stellen. Alle informatie over deze wedstrijd en de deelnemingsvoorwaarden is te vinden in het wedstrijdreglement op www.proximus.be.
